About

Smiling children, Food, shelter, love and art is the meaning of life and as long as food and shelter is available, art can even sometimes substitute love. I’m Danish but have worked and lived in Sweden for the last 10+ years. After working many years as a consultant software developer and trying hard to look into the future of the world, I decided to change my priorities and allow my passion for visual art to become my main focus for doing useful work that I truly love. I absolutely do love programming and logic and luckily python is the standard scripting language in a lot of 3d software and among those also Blender.

I’m mostly using Blender because of it’s openness and scope as a 3d platform that includes almost every tool needed to complete an artistic visual expression. It is of course not the best in every, or even any area, but it can do the job in almost every aspect if you have the skills. There is also a great community that creates add-ons to fill some of the holes in the software or make it more efficient and I use a lot of these and I of course also write my own python code to automate tedious tasks if needed. I also use other programs like Houdini, Substance designer and painter because they are sometimes easier or better at doing the job. In addition to Blender and around 50 add-ons I use Houdini, Substance designer and -painter, QuadSpinner Geae, World-Creator, Reallusion Character Creator, Unreal Engine and lots of other software packages for vector and pixel based editing as well as any other task imaginable.

My favorite areas in the 3d pipeline are environments/lighting, complex procedural/node-based effects/modelling, procedural/node-based shading and automation of any tedious/boring task to make things go faster and be more joyful.

My formal education is in Biochemistry/Molecular-biology in which I have a master degree from the University of Copenhagen. Many may not be aware of this but all the proteins on which our lives depend only functions in highly specific 3d configuration and if this configuration is disturbed significantly they become denatured and irreversibly loose their function, unless it is intended like when blood coagulates in a wound for instance. Actually the further down we go in size on biological scale the more significant the correlation between form and function seems to becomes and the more diverse it expresses itself.

I highly value creativity in all matters of life and being together with others that also do so and learn from each other is nothing short of sheer bliss.

Let’s create some beautiful things together…
